Plot and Mobility

This area evaluates measures related to:
• The treatment of the land, its permeability to water, and its recovery in case of contaminated land.
• The design of the gardens, with the aim of optimizing water consumption and favoring biodiversity.
• The solid urban waste generated, and its treatment to reduce it and facilitate its reuse or recycling.
• Transportation management that encourages the use of efficient public vehicles and, in particular, the use of bicycles and pedestrian transportation.
• Exterior lighting, to avoid light pollution.

Energy and Atmosphere

Evaluates the impacts generated by energy consumption throughout the building's life cycle. It covers, from the production of construction materials and their transfer to work, to the energy consumed by the use of the building. Objectives:
• Reduce the impact of energy consumption in the manufacture and transport of construction materials
• Reduce energy consumption in the building's use phase and the generation of impacts based on the reduction of energy demand and the increase in the efficiency of facilities and equipment
• Promote the generation of renewable energies for its use in the building

Natural Resources

The building consumes and manages natural resources that are critical either because of their shortage or because of the impacts generated in their management. In this area, the consumption and impacts generated in the management of these resources are evaluated. Objectives:
• Reduce the consumption of drinking water
• Encourage the reuse and recycling of materials
• Choose materials with less environmental impact
• Manage the waste generated in the building construction and demolition process.

Quality of indoor environment

A building that respects the environment must also guarantee the health and well-being of users. To do this it is important to design and build buildings that ensure high quality inside, taking into acount aspects such as:
• Optimal humidity and temperature conditions
• Reduce and eliminate pollutants in the indoor environment
• Guarantee good natural and artificial lighting
• Guarantee a correct acoustic behavior, reducing the reverberation effect and ensuring isolation between areas with different use and outside.

Social and Economic Aspects

The social work of buildings, beyond fulfilling their function of welcoming us, is evaluated on a series of criteria that remind us that man is central to sustainability. Of course, the economic aspects that affect developers, users and owners are also fundamental. Goals:
• Favor universal access
• Improve the quality of life of the occupants
• Generate quality spaces that facilitate rest and recreation
• Reduce the cost of construction and the use and maintenance of buildings

Innovation

Sustainability is one of the most important research, development and innovation vectors for companies. Every day new materials and systems are put on the market to improve the performance of buildings and increase their performance while reducing their environmental impact. Therefore, all tools recognize the value of innovation in materials and construction solutions.

Passive House

Passivhaus buildings manage to reduce heating and cooling needs by 75%. The little supplementary energy they require can be easily covered by renewable energy, becoming a construction with a very low energy cost for the owner and the planet. This standard does not imply the use of a specific type of product, material or architectural style, but rather the optimization of existing resources through passive techniques, such as a good form factor, which reduces the surface in contact with the outside to reduce the needs of air conditioning, a correct orientation of the windows to take advantage of 5 basic principles
1.-Excellent thermal insulation
2.-High-performance carpentry, reduced thermal transmittance and low-emission glass.
3.-Absence of thermal bridges
4.-Surrounding air tightness.
5.-High efficiency mechanical ventilation with heat recovery.

"I always believed, and continue to believe, that artists who live and work with spiritual values cannot and should not remain indifferent to a conflict in which the highest values of Humanity and civilization are at stake."
Pablo Picasso (1881-1973)

The conflict of our era is for the planet, we must create with this consciousness.
